About Me
Hi, I'm Toni and I take photos!
I inherited two things from my parents (three if you count premature grey hair) - a love of photography and a love of travel. I was eight years old when my Dad taught me how to use my first SLR camera, during a trip to outback Northern Territory. I've been chasing new horizons through a lens ever since.
I travel because I love seeing the world and having new experiences. This website is a photo album of memories I've made over the last 17 years. I don't consider myself a travel photographer, or a fine art photographer, and you wont find me winning any awards anytime soon. These images aren't overly staged or technical, or even perfect - they're honest moments that caught my eye, scenes that made me pause, or a glimpse of beauty I didn't want to forget. I just like what I like, and I've found that sometimes, that's what others like too.
Explorers Travel Art began as an idea after my sister returned from a trip to South America and, a little disappointed with how her photos turned out on her phone, said, "I'll just frame one of yours instead". That small comment planted a seed. Maybe other travellers felt the same way - wanting to relive their journey with something simple and beautiful on their walls, even if their own photos didn't quite capture the magic.
Thanks for being here. I hope something in this collection brings a smile, a memory, or a dream for what's next...
